About me: Karima Brooke

Hi there! I am Karima Brooke.

I was born in Kenilworth in 1952. I am married with 5 grown-up children - and, so far, two grandsons, Dalvyn, born 1995, and Sebastian, born 2006.

I first became interested in homeopathy when, as a mother I wanted treatment for my children that was gentle, effective and co-operated with a person's self-healing capabilities. I found it worked wonders with everything from teething to migraines, stammering to sleep-walking and night-terrors, whooping cough and chicken-pox!

Initially, wanting to work in healing, I began training as an acupuncturist - then found myself pregnant! Thirteen years later, I started my course in homeopathy, at the College of Practical Homeopathy in Dudley.

Before becoming a homeopath, I was a researcher and lecturer in the fields of Ethnic Relations (in which I hold a doctorate from Warwick University) and Islam in Europe. I've also worked with refugees and migrants in community development work. What links all these areas of endeavour - and my passion for homeopathy - is my curiosity about what makes us as human beings similar, yet different.
